‘Meteorite Report Centre’ opened at Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM), South Corea

The Jinju meteorite fall of 9 March 2014 has led to the creation of a National South Korean Meteorite Report Centre opening today at the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM). The centre offers the chance to have alleged meteorites checked on their authenticity within 60 days. The centre will provide a certificate for registered authentic meteorites. Meteorites can voluntarily be registered at the centre. Changes of ownership of registered meteorites must be reported to the centre in the future.
