The classification, done at the National Museum in Rio de Janeiro, is expected to be finalised in the coming week. Details about the trajectory and the exact time of the fall still remain unclear. No further meteorite specimens have been found so far.

The Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de la República (Udelar) has confirmed the fall of a 712-g-meteorite (breccia, 208 cm³, density of 3.4 g/cm³) into a building in the Carlos Lavagna (~ 34°47’30.32″S, 54°56’3.55″W) in San Carlos on 19th September 2015 (after 2 a.m. local time). More meteorite fragments are supposed to have fallen west of the city but could not been found yet.
