“A comparison of the 57Fe hyperfine parameters obtained for the iron-bearing phases in some undifferentiated and differentiated meteorites using Mössbauer spectroscopy demonstrate some similarities and small differences for the same phases in different meteorites. These differences were related to small variations in the iron local microenvironments in these phases that may be a result of some variations in the chemical compositions and thermal metamorphism. The latter variations can be associated with these phases’ formation and thermal evolution in space.”
