According to Arkady Ovcharenko (Аркадий Овчаренко) from the Geophysical Institute of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences the current weight of the mass is substantially lower than currently published. More details will be known in the coming days.
As reported today the correct coordinates of the fall location of the Chelyabinsk main mass have finally been added to the memorial at the shore of Lake Chebarkul

Furthermore, Nikolaj Gor’kavyj and some other Chelyabinsk astrophysicists plan to publish a book about the meteorite fall to deal among other things with the urban legends that apparently still flourish in the Southern Urals.
The book release is planned for 15 February 2015.
