Kindberg meteorite (233 g, L6) apparently found – bolide at 04:46:47- CET, 19 November 2020, Kindberg, Bruck-Mürzzuschlag, Steiermark, Austria

On 14 September 2021 it was announced in several Austrian media that on 4 July 2021 a 233-gram fragment of a meteorite (L6) was found near Kindberg in Austria. It is supposed to have fallen on 19 November 2020. A woman is reported to have found the meteorite near a forest road.

The bolide

Bolide (EN191120): Luminous trail of 24 seconds (almost 290 km) ending at an altitude of 25 km southwest of Mariazell, entry speed at ~100 km: 14 km/s, entry mass: ~270 kg (~50 cm diameter), main flare at 42 km altitude, preatmospheric orbit: Apollo type.
