“The geomagnetic and ionospheric effects of the meteor explosion on December 19, 2014, at high latitudes over the Kola Peninsula, Russia, were considered. It was shown that the explosion was accompanied by sharp changes in environmental parameters. For the first time, it was assumed that sharp changes in the geomagnetic field are caused by the impact of the shock wave from the meteor explosion on auroral electrojets.”
