“On March 3, 2025, between 14:00 and 14:20 IST (Indian Standard Time) a meteorite fall was witnessed, weighing approximately 350 grams. This suspected object crashed through the kitchen roof of Bhikaji Ambhore’s residence in Khalwat-Limgaon village (19°06′19.2″N, 76°04′55.1″E), located in the Wadwani taluka of Beed District, Maharashtra, India. Mineral compositions by EPMA of olivine (Fa:24.64wt%) and low-Ca pyroxene (Fs:21wt%) classifying it as a low bulk metal, low iron L-group ordinary chondrite of petrologic type 4/5 (equilibrated).”
